Not a good way to bounce back from a come-from-behind win, as South Alabama wins 11-3. The Jaguars don't have great stats and are just 21-32 overall, but man, they just get single after single after single and don't strike out much.
Recap HERE and box score HERE.
ULM and Western Kentucky clinched tournament bids tonight with wins. Troy is 13-16, in a three-way tie for sixth with Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky. Troy would be seeded seventh in that scenario, WKU sixth and MTSU 8th. UALR is now 12-17, and ULL has been eliminated from tournament consideration.
Troy and South Alabama play Game 3 Saturday at 6 p.m., and it's televised down here on CSS. Now, if UALR loses earlier in the afternoon, Troy is automatically in the tournament. I'm not really sure if a loser in the early-afternoon MTSU/WKU game will get Troy in. Obviously, a Troy win gets Troy in.
Stay tuned. I'll be at the game and will post some updates on twitter @dothaneagletroy.
